Welcome to South Riding, Virginia, your new Hometown. South Riding Proprietary, the Washington Metro Chapter CAI 2008 Large Scale Community Association of the Year, is a master planned development that maintains a small hometown feel while enjoying the sophistication of a Washington, D.C. suburb.
South Riding is an exceptionally social community that promotes a family friendly environment through organized events and the efforts of Proprietary Staff and volunteers. Homes in this planned community were first occupied in 1995. With a population of over 15,000 people, more than 5,500 homes are currently occupied with an expected total at build-out of over 6,500.
A multitude of amenities are available to residents, including two community buildings, four swimming pools, over a dozen tot lots, parks, four lighted tennis courts, a WorldTrail Fitness Course, basketball courts, three miles of pedestrian trails, and over 260 acres of Common Area.
